PØLYPHEN® FOAM TECHNICAL DATA
PØLYPHEN® is a rigid thermal insulation foam, which combines good mechanical properties with high fire resistance.
It can be used in a wide range of applications, including sandwich panels and lagging of pipes, ducts and tanks.
The product is light weight, easy to cut and has a surface that is not fibrous, friable or brittle.
PØLYPHEN® can be produced in a wide range of densities from 30 kg/m3 to 300 kg/m3 (2-20 lbs/cu ft), depending on the intended application. The density range of greatest commercial interest is 30-60 kg/m3 (2-4 lbs/cu ft) which covers most applications for thermal insulation foams.
PØLYPHEN® is available in block form, or sheets (up to 600 mm thick) or a variety of profiles e.g. pipe lagging or curved segments for tank insulation. In fact, almost any shape can be produced using standard cutting equipment, such as computerised abrasive wire cutters.
The physical properties of PØLYPHEN® vary with the density of the foam. Typical properties for 45-50 kg/m3 density foam follow:
